Providing integrated operational services and strategic planning to the provincial pandemic response, the COVID Response and Health Emergency Management Division will provide the overall coordination of the response, coordinate with Health Authority COVID leads and liaise with PHO/BCCDC.

To develop plans, programs and policies of strategic importance to the ministry from concept, to implementation and evaluation, based on evidence and research, involving health authority stakeholders and cross government.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in public or business administration, or health sciences or a related field and a minimum of 3 years recent related experience; OR
  • Diploma in public or business administration, or a related field and a minimum of 4 years recent related experience;
  • An equivalent combination of postsecondary education and experience may be considered.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with a master’s degree and a minimum of 1 year recent related experience.


    • Experience in research, policy development, and performance review analysis.
    • Experience working collaboratively in partnership arrangements.
    • Experience in planning and coordinating complex projects/assignments
    • Experience in concisely and persuasively writing a range of documents/content
  • Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience leading working groups/committees and providing secretariat support within the last two years.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience leading components of major projects/initiatives with multiple complex stakeholder groups including Health Authorities within the last two years.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have experience navigating challenging stakeholder interactions.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with experience working in the Health Sector or more than one organization within the Health Sector.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who have experience with the COVID-19 health response.
