Reporting to the Director, the Manager IT Services is accountable for the management of IT infrastructure, technical enhancement projects and first-line of support of non-Line-of-Business (LOB) services to serve clients of the Information Systems Branch (ISB).  The Manager works very closely with ISB customers, managers and team members to provide expert advice and management of server usage and application distribution databases, and technical architecture. The Manager is responsible for technical architecture design, identification of technical requirements and specification for hardware and software acquisition, and management of systems configuration, implementation and integration, project management, security, privacy, technical enhancements and ongoing support.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:

  • Degree and 3 years of related experience; or Diploma and 4 years of related experience; or Certificate or program completion, or some course work, and 5 years of related experience; or 6 years of related experience.
  • Experience and/or certification in project management.
  • Experience and/or certification in service management. 
  • Experience and/or certification in enterprise architecture technology management including all the following:
    • development, planning and implementation of system enhancements or upgrades;
    • evaluation, including security and privacy, and acquisition of new technology;
    • provision of technology infrastructure support in a multi-platform environment;
    • design, development, testing and integration of applications;
    • provision of information, training and consulting services;
    • planning and managing large complex computerized business systems and information services infrastructure projects.
  • Experience managing staff and/or leading projects, managing the procurement process and contract management.
