Job Qualifications Required Qualifications Diploma or degree in a health care discipline is preferred.

Education and/or training specific to patient safety and/or risk management is preferred.Experience:Minimum three years’ experience in the field of health care is preferred.

Experience and knowledge of the multi disciplinary environment and services provided by services and programs within the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

Experience in follow up/review of adverse events in a healthcare environment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work effectively with coworkers and other departments across the organization utilizing strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to work with other departments through a patient and family centred approach to resolve concerns.

Self motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement in setting priorities.

Ability to cope with pressure and stress.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, time management abilities.

Ability to effectively use word processing, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and database computer programs (Microsoft Office) and keyboarding skills of 60 wpm.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work as a team player, fostering a supportive working environment.

Ability to review and provide appropriate follow up with departments in the resolution of patient safety concerns as assigned.
